Owls and hares are seen as messengers for stars; rabbits for their quick feet and sharp ears, owls for their noble silence and ability to fly. Stars are important to felines as each star is meant to be a deity of some kind, the Divines. The sun and moon are considered siblings
Sometimes, a cat is born under a star's light. They become star-touched, and the star becomes their sibling. The star-touched are born with more Energy(as in, spirituality. You dont get a bonus.), and can absorb unique relics other cats can not get. Temple keepers seek these cats out as they tend to be powerful and sought after for their own protection and for the temple's gain. Depending on the power, they can become a Pathfinder, leader of their domain. Pathfinder is the highest rank possible. They speak to the stars directly at times, and receive their own messenger owl trained by the temple (shorter than 18 inches.)
